MARIA
Maria (She/her) has been student of yoga for more than 10 years, and began teaching in 2016 after taking her first Yoga teacher training in Nepal.
What has inspired Maria is helping others when faced with injuries or illness to get back to having fun and enjoying their lives. Through her own diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis, over coming injuries and a love of adventure, Yoga has given the framework and tools to continue to enjoy recreation and now to help others do the same.

Trained in therapeutic yoga to work with a variety of illness, injuries and trauma, Maria offers a variety of skills and expertise to students. With training in traditional Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga she began training in therapeutic yoga to deepen her knowledge for working with those facing acute and chronic health conditions and how the practices of yoga can be adapted to suit the needs of anyone to promote wellbeing and health.
She has a passion to incorporate yoga therapy as a part of an individual’s wellness and helping them uncover and achieve living life with more ease is possible no matter your physical or emotional place. She uses approaches like Yoga Nidra, Breath-work and targeted somatic movement and conditioning techniques from Yoga and Meditation.
With a focus in working with Chronic Pain, Neurological Conditions and Mental Health, Maria is trained to work with clients with various injuries and conditions, and works with clients one-on-one as well as in small group series.
